Synopsis: When Nate gets busted for a drug deal gone sideways, he assumes his life is over. After racking up a slew of charges and losing his best friend in the raid, he was prepared to accept his long 8 year sentence. Then, just 3 years inside, Nate’s defending lawyer is found guilty of murder and racketeering, and suddenly his case is reopened for review. To serve the remainder of his time, Nate’s sentence is reduced to a year-long stay at a halfway house, but his troubles are hardly over. Nate is suddenly faced with two options: go back to the streets, or earn his college degree. Now, in order to fit into his temporary surroundings, he finds himself on the run (literally), not just from the residents and crooked managers that run the house, but from a past he simply cannot forget. Will he be able to educate himself long enough to negotiate this program? One thing is certain, his story is only half started.
